Welcome to kj pr, the entertainment marketing agency serving clients currently across Austin, Los Angeles, New York City, London and beyond, and founded by Kayla J. Williams, who brings over a fourteen years of experience in entertainment marketing and publicity to the company. Our mission? We’re here to help our clients get in front of their audiences through fresh, creative strategies that result in real connections and tangible impact (not just metrics).

Since its launch in 2022, kj pr has led campaigns for a diverse roster of clients including the Oscar Nominated Short Films theatrical release, indie rock band Mt. Joy, Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman’s Nuthouse Sports, the legendary Arlyn Studios, Bob’s Dance Shop, Cattle Country Music Festival, alt-country supergroup Chaparelle, the creative studio Raw Cereal and more. Other recent work for the company includes support on major tours and events such as Hans Zimmer Live, Beyond Van Gogh, and the record-breaking BLAST.tv Austin Major. In addition, kj pr has consulted on numerous emerging bands like Danny Golden and Ransom Brothers, on indie films, and more.

Kayla J. Williams, founder of entertainment marketing agency kj pr, has over fourteen years of marketing and publicity experience across music, film, television, events and more.

Before founding kj pr, Kayla spent a decade in agency life leading campaigns for major companies such as Meta (working with talent like Post Malone, Foo Fighters, and Erykah Badu), Amazon Prime Video, Bravo, Netflix, Peacock, and Smosh. She also has worked on milestone events in Austin including: the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix, Moontower Comedy Festival, SXSW Film, Texas Medal of Arts Awards, Willie’s 4th of July Picnic, X Games Austin and more.

Based in Austin, Kayla earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from the University of Texas at Austin. She is a proud member of The Recording Academy and Women in Music. She mentors students through the PRSSA chapter at UT and serves on the Board of Directors for the SIMS Foundation, which provides mental health and substance use recovery services to the music community.
