Kayla J. Williams, founder of entertainment marketing shop kj pr, has over twelve years of public relations and marketing experience across music, film, television, events, hospitality and more. Current and past clients include: BLAST, Bob’s Dance Shop, Danny Golden, FrightPix, La Caza Tequila, Mt. Joy, the Oscar-nominated Short Films, Raw Cereal, Revival Cycles and more.

Prior to starting kj pr in 2022, Kayla spent a decade honing her craft in agency life where she led teams in developing creative campaigns and meticulously curated press strategies that obtained the tailored narrative and goals of her clients. Kayla’s work includes successful campaigns for Meta including talent work with Post Malone, Foo Fighters, Paris Jackson and many more, Amazon Prime Video, Crypt TV, Smosh, the Oscar Nominated Short Films as well as for veteran unscripted production companies; executive visibility for Nickelodeon, ShortsTV and Starz; and concert PR for legendary acts and events including Elton John, Taylor Swift, Willie Nelson, Formula 1, SXSW, Texas Medal of Arts Awards, X Games, Moontower Comedy Festival and many more. Kayla, currently based in Austin, earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Relations at the University of Texas at Austin. Kayla is a proud member of the Television Academy, The Recording Academy and Women in Film & Television Austin. She also is a mentor for the PRSSA chapter at the University of Texas and serves on the advisory board of the SIMS Foundation, an organization that provides mental health and substance use recovery services and supports for musicians, music industry professionals, and their dependents.
